2013 SoCalCross Prestige Series #1 Edit

by editors on October 3, 2013

It’s Thursday, four whole days after the SoCalCross Prestige Series Opener in Donwtown Los Angeles’ Historic Park and there are still no official results posted anywhere. Organization was pathetic. They ran out of timing chips and race numbers and racers were forced to lobby for their finishing places, but don’t let that keep you from checking out this video from the first two laps of the open category posted by J. Weir. Yes, he went two laps before getting a flat, which was about par for the course on Sunday, September 29, 2013. Seems like nearly everyone flatted. If they ever post the results we’ll link them up.

Are Friends Electric? The Kranked V10

by editors on September 27, 2013

There’s nothing that sells to fat America like an electric bike. The Interbike 2013 show was littered with all manner of electric powered bicycles, but the ones that seemed to get the most play were the “self-shuttling” downhill and enduro bikes. Like this one from Kranked.

Bike, Camp, Cook: The Book

by editors on September 20, 2013

Help out the husband and wife team who toured the world for two years by bike and blogged about it on the site GoingSlowly.com, with their newest effort the book Bike, Camp, Cook. They’re up on Kickstarter begging for money and with 21 days to go they are only $2,500 short of their $11,500 goal. Yes, it’s another cookbook for cyclists, but this is no Feedzone. This is a cook book for the touring crowd. And it looks delicious. All they need in the money to print it. Click the link and help them out.

Horner Pounds In Another One At The Vuelta

by editors on September 3, 2013

We know you’ve probably already seen Chris Horner’s domination in stage 10 of the Tour of Spain (the Vuelta) but there really is no harm in watching it one more time just to study his stand up and turn the pedals technique. Nice, isn’t it? Yes, we think so. We also don’t believe that tomorrow is the last day we’ll see Mr. Horner in the red jersey. But what do we know?

Decisions, decisions, decisions. . .

Photographer Jeff Curtes Bridges The Gap

by editors on August 8, 2013

It’s always nice too see a good crossover act. For years Jeff Curtes was the photographer responsible for creating the images that told Burton Snowboard’s story. Now, Curtes has moved to Australia and is beginning to shoot cycling. It’s something he thought he’d never do. Like many of us cycling was Curtes’ escape from his other life. Now he’s beginning to mix the two. Check out this Life In Focus edit from F-Stop for the rest of the story.
