Fantic Launches its Pedal-Assist Bicycle Line in the US
Powerful E-Motions at Interbike

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Thursday, September 15, 2016 — Fantic, the iconic Italian motorcycle brand with a rich heritage in 2-stroke engine innovation, is proud to launch its new premium pedal-assist bicycle line, E-Motions, on the American market. Blending years of experience in the off-road world with top of the line materials, Fantic bicycles deliver performance and fun in any type of terrain. Newly headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, a region known as the birthplace of mountain biking and a bastion of progressive pedalers, Fantic is perfectly situated to launch its pedal-assist technology across the US from the heart of this active and eco-conscious community.

All of the bicycles in the Fantic line are pedal-assist, which means a silent, battery-powered motor kicks in to give riders a boost while pedaling. There is no throttle; only a user’s leg motion activates the motor, and one may choose between three levels of power or opt out of the pedal-assist any time via the simple and easy-to-use included computer. At the heart of each bike is a 90 Nm German-engineered Brose motor, which is the smallest, lightest, quietest, and most powerful of all the 250 W motors on the market. Fantic’s 417 Wh and 630 Wh BMZ Lithium Ion batteries give riders up to 120 miles of pedal-assisted cycling depending on terrain and riding style, and all batteries are covered by the only three-year warranty in the industry.

“The, pedal-assist segment is rapidly growing in the US, and it’s the ideal time to introduce our bicycles to the American market,” explains Fantic CEO and former women’s Motocross world, American, and Italian champion, Stefy Bau. “Our pedal-assist bicycles enable people to push beyond their limits and re-define what is possible for them. We can’t wait to show how enjoyable it is to go out and ride with a Fantic!”

With a robust selection of models ranging from Fat and Mountain bikes to Gravel bikes, Fantic offers a pedal-assist option for everyone. The hardtail Fat Bikes (trail and commuter versions) boast 4” fat tires that allow riders to float effortlessly over any terrain, including sand, snow, and cobblestone. The premium MTB category offers aggressive and performance mountain bikes, and users can choose any style: full suspension, hardtail, plus tires and boost hubs, or 29” front with 27.5” rear. With its Gravel series, Fantic introduces the first-ever pedal-assist gravel bicycles that bridge the gap between sporty road bikes, MTB, and touring bikes. Crafted with high-end SRAM components and classic Italian workmanship, Fantic provides a revolutionary cycling experience for riders of all abilities.

At Interbike, Fantic will debut its pedal-assist line at booth number 4062 from September 21-23 and provide live demos in the field from booth 3176 from September 19-20. Come and meet the Fantic team and experience powerful E-Motions.
