RydeSafe makes all kinds of cool stuff that reflects. The idea help cyclist show up better at night. Their stuff looks cool during the day time and reflects up during the night to make cyclists more visible. They’re currently trying to raise money (and sell buttons) with a funding campaign on Kickstarter. Check it out and if you want some cool buttons, that reflect, buy some.

We’re all kind of hoping the snow melts and the single track dries up a little so we can get out and hit all the high lines this time of year, but when the snow flies next fall, we might not be as bummed as usual thanks to Nism Snow Bikes. Want to see what it’s like battling with Mark Cavendish for a win in Stage 8 of the Amgen Tour of California? Shimano has provided just that with up close and personal footage from their Shimano Sport Cameras mounted under Koen de Kort’s saddle and on John Degenkolb’s bars. Nice to see that the pros dice around just as much as the Cat 3 racers at your local crit. They’re just better at it . . . and way, way faster.

Seems Canadian Will Routley has been riding off the front for the whole 2014 Amgen Tour of California. We saw him KOM the climb on Stage 1, he’s in the break every day, and today (May 14, 2014) he along with Kevin De Mesmaeker, Carter Jones, Matt Cooke, Greg Daniel and Jonathan Clarke make the break stick. Not only did Routley win the KOM points on the day, he masterfully waited just enough to take the sprint finish and a win in Stage 4 of the Amgen Tour of California. Mark Cavendish? Oh, he finished seventh with a field sprint win. Whoops.

Interesting tweak on suspension from and Israeli wheelchair designer. It’s called SoftWheel and it puts the suspension between the rim and the hub. Not sure what keeps the front wheel from blasting up into the forks, but it seems like it could be a less bulky way to soften the ride without adding much weight.
