Canfield Brothers Unleashes Carbon EPO
High-end mountain bike brand’s first carbon offering is a hardtail 29er
engineered for aggressive all-mountain riding.
BELLINGHAM, WA (October 19, 2015) – Canfield Brothers, high-end boutique mountain bike manufacturer, unleashes the EPO, a carbon-fiber hardtail 29er engineered for aggressive all-mountain riding. The first carbon-fiber bike from Canfield Brothers, the category-defying EPO is tested to all-mountain standards and built to take abuse.
Crafted around the aggressive all-mountain 29er geometry that Canfield Brothers pioneered with the Yelli Screamy, the EPO features a 66.8-degree headtube angle when paired with a 140-millimeter fork for stable descending and ultra-short 16.3-inch chainstays for playful handling.
The Brothers spent more than two years testing and developing a variety of carbon-fiber molds, weaves and layups to ensure the EPO was tough enough to wear a skull as a head badge.

The 3-pound (1,450-gram) frame is one of—if not the only—carbon mountain hardtail on the market that has been tested to the stringent new ISO all-mountain standards and features weaves of varying thickness, adding strength and lateral stiffness where it counts, while allowing a vertically compliant ride.

Other details include 142×12 rear through-axle as well as ISCG mounts and 1x or front derailleur compatibility and a threaded bottom bracket for creak-free riding.
