PARK CITY, Utah (April 24, 2014) – When slicing single track, your mountain bike is likely your top prize possession. But, don’t neglect your feet.

The high-performance, cross-country race shoe will be available in Backcountry Blue and sold exclusively at backcountry.com and CompetitiveCyclist.com starting June 1, with pre-orders available today. The shoes will retail for $299.95 and be available in sizes 39 through 48—including half sizes.

This weekend, the shoe will make its debut on display at the 11th annual Whiskey Off-Road bike event in Prescott, Ariz., at the backcountry.com Bike and Gear Expo. The event runs April 25 through 27.

The Empire also features one-piece Tejin microfiber uppers to decrease weight and increase breathability, an X-Static Supernatural footbed for superior fit, and a Easton-Giro-developed EC90 carbon fiber outsole for increased power transfer.
