Ugo Gattoni’s Five Meters Of Bicycling

by editors on June 6, 2013

The art in this video comes from Bicycle, a book published by Nobrow Press. The art is nearly 20 feet wide and it’s all about bicycles in London.

Inspired by the 2012 London Olympic Games, young artist Ugo Gattoni intricately illustrates a cycle race through the streets of London. From elite athletes to cycle couriers, commuters, bankers, delivery boys, mums with kids, youths on stolen mountain bikes to fashionistas and hipsters on fixed gear bikes – pretty soon you will realize this is no ordinary road race!

Crazy. It is available in book form on Nobrow’s website for $24.95.

Loud Ass Bike Horn Stops Cars

by editors on December 12, 2012

Our loud whistle works pretty well to get the attention of most drivers, but not everyone has a whistle that will shatter glass. And for those people, Loud Bicycle horn may be just the thing.

Sound: is like a typical car horn, both in volume and pitch
Honk: for up to 30 seconds at a time (but please be respectful)
Batteries: are rechargeable Li-ion batteries that will last 1-2 months
Button: snaps on to either handlebar and honking does not interfere
with braking.
Weather resistant: works in rain, sleet and snow

Its makers are currently seeking funding on Kickstarter. They’re hoping to get $43,000 and with 31 days to go they’ve already raised $14k. If you’d like to help them out, click here.

The rack has a $129 price tag, but for hose who appreciate good design the biggest problem may be in not buying the entire Bivi office suite to go with it.

Billa Bite Logo

Yesterday, @Statebicycleco posted this Billabong logo (right) to Instagram with the following: “Looks familiar. . . ” Either the financially troubled surf giant is biting graphics from the fixie kids (ala State Bicycle Company) or both companies have been chewing through the same classic logo inspiration books.
